Summary
A new study published in Nature reveals that a subset of pancreatic cancer cells create a protective molecular mesh using SERPINE1 or SERPINB2 genes, which shields them from the immune system. Disrupting this process in mice improved immune control of pancreatic tumors and made them more responsive to immunotherapy.
