Overview

Webhooks allow your servers to receive instantaneous event notifications whenever significant actions occur in HyperFast. Every webhook request includes an `X-HyperFast-Signature` header for cryptographic verification.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Create a Webhook Endpoint

Go to Settings > Webhooks > Add Endpoint. Enter your public HTTPS URL.

2

Select Subscribed Events

Choose which events to listen to (e.g. `publish.completed`, `publish.failed`, `news.created`, `approval.needed`).

3

Store Signing Secret

Copy the provided webhook signing secret (`whsec_...`) to verify HMAC SHA-256 signatures on incoming requests.

Sample Webhook Signature Verification (Node.js)

javascript
const crypto = require('crypto');

function verifyHyperFastWebhook(payload, signatureHeader, secret) {
  const expectedSignature = crypto
    .createHmac('sha256', secret)
    .update(payload)
    .digest('hex');
  return crypto.timingSafeEqual(
    Buffer.from(signatureHeader),
    Buffer.from(expectedSignature)
  );
}
